TSUYOSA 37

Citizen responded to this request and launched three Tsuyosa models with a case diameter of 37 millimetres in spring 2025. The first ‘37 models’ are available in ice blue, pastel pink and dark green. They complement the existing 40 mm models, offering an even wider selection.

Smaller, more discreet – yet still powerful

The case diameter has shrunk, but the features have not. Inside the new Tsuyosa models, there is still an automatic in-house movement (calibre 8210) – the same as in the larger versions. Added to this are scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with a magnifying glass over the date window, luminous material on the hands and indices, a glass back, and a crown at 4 o'clock for a slim silhouette and comfortable wear. The latter is further enhanced by the integrated stainless steel bracelet with rounded links. The watch is water-resistant to 5 bar.

All this together makes the Tsuyosa models, with a diameter of 37 millimetres, ideal companions for everyday use, in no way inferior to the larger versions.

TSUYOSA 40

The introduction of the TSUYOSA collection marked a significant milestone in CITIZEN's product range, as it heralded a phase in which CITIZEN began using stainless steel for its watches – a unique feature, as many other affordable watches at the time were still made of brass. The steel TSUYOSA series was not only more durable, but also more elegant and characterised by its fine workmanship. This included a delicate surface finish on the top of the case, which formed an attractive contrast to the highly polished bezel and the middle links of the bracelet.

Design

The design of these watches is classic yet sporty and modern. The bright colours of the dials immediately catch the eye and make the watch a real eye-catcher on the wrist. The strap is inspired by 1970s design.

Material

The watch case and strap are made of high-quality stainless steel. High-gloss elements add highlights to the otherwise matt brushed material. The sunburst dial is protected by scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, which features a magnifying glass above the date. The case back is also made of glass, allowing a view of the movement.

Technology

The NJ015* series is equipped with the mechanical calibre 8210. With 21 jewels and a frequency of 21,600 vph, the movement offers a power reserve of 40 hours and an accuracy of +/-20 seconds per day. The discreet crown has been moved to the 4 o'clock position in this series.

It's not just the dial that shines in bright colours.

Thanks to yellow-green luminous material, the hands and hour markers also glow, allowing you to easily read the time even in the dark.
