What is a rubber Strap?
Watches with a rubber strap feature a flexible strap made from natural or synthetic rubber. The material is elastic, water-resistant and easy to clean. These properties make rubber straps particularly suitable for sports watches, diving watches and outdoor watches.
The elasticity of the material allows a certain degree of flexibility on the wrist. This is beneficial during sports activities, when the circumference of the wrist may change slightly due to heat or physical exertion.
Unlike leather, rubber absorbs very little water. A rubber watch strap can therefore be worn in contact with water, in high humidity and during sports activities. However, sufficient water resistance of the watch itself is always essential for swimming or diving.
Dirt and sweat can easily be removed from rubber straps with water.
